A Bite, a Drink and a Sunset...

Welcome again...

I thought that for my first official post, I should share what I enjoy the most (if you are visiting Naples, this is a must!): a bite, a drink and a sunset all in one place.

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort located in Vanderbilt Beach (9891 Gulf Shore Dr, Naples, FL) offers a perfect place with a great ambiance to meet friends, family, and why not? a date for a drink, and enjoy a gorgeous sunset while at it. Did I mentioned fire pits? Awaiting for their guests, the beachfront seating area is surrounded by wooden chairs and several fire pits... yes! tropical heaven. 

Sunsets never get old, but this Barrel Aged Old Fashioned does make it classy.

Their indoor bar has gone through some modifications, including their name (formally known as their restaurant, Baleen), Elements Bar, offers a wide selection of crafted cocktails, wine, and spirits (also beer). As their website says "Vacation in Naples means anytime is cocktail time." Even for us locals, this is very true. Bar seating area is "first come, first serve."

Strawberry Watermelon Chiller

If you wish to dine in at Baleen, a reservation must be made. I would recommend outdoor seating for a more tropical vibe, and indoor for a city feel.
